My SAT score: Maths 640 CR 500 Writing 580 GPA in my school is not calculated, or not yet anyway, I'm sure its higher than 3 - I'm in a British International School. As for Extra curricular, 150 hours + of the following: Athletics I have been playing center back for my school Soccer team for last two years; we placed first last year in the regional varsity competition and are looking to do the same this year. I have also been in the Basketball team and played in the regional varsity competition. Although team sports are my favorite, on the running tracks triple jumps are my favorite and have represented our house at school every year at triple jump. Community service I participated in a school trip to Jordan in April 2011, organized by Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a charity that invites people of all ages to contribute to the development of housing and facilities for less fortunate communities. We went to a rural village in Jordan where we built a house from scratch for a family who couldn't afford to buy a new house. I acted as translator, translating the Arabic to English and vice versa for my group and the townspeople. I also participate in a therapeutic-riding program; every other week we go to a stable and assist disabled children in riding horses. The purpose of the program is to provide meaningful and enjoyable leisure time for the children beyond the confines of their residential center. Three times a week, during my free periods, I go across campus to the Primary school where I assist as a classroom helper. The work involves a variety of tasks such as reading books to the children, providing special attention to children who have special educational needs and helping the teacher in preparing the class for activities. This year I have volunteered to marshal at several school swim meets, helping to ensure that the events run smoothly and efficiently. The Swim meets take place on weekends and last for 4 to 5 hours. School organizations I am currently in a working committee organizing the "The High-Tech Fair" that will take place in February 2012. This is the second year that we have run this successful event. The event invites competitors from local school communities to develop projects that use technology to benefit society. Part of the process involves getting sponsorship from local businesses to pay for prizes for the best three projects. I am a co-founder of the first student run newspaper in our school. The newspaper provides a forum for students to share experiences of school and celebrate their successes and achievements. I am an international student, does that help? I'm Lebanese... I am currently in my senior year doing IB, 31 is my predicted without the bonus points but I know I can/will get better. My subjects are Physics higher, Business higher, ITGS higher, Maths standard, english standard and arabic ab initio. My extended essay/ research paper is on physics, the question is : "How does the efficiency of wind turbine depend on the velocity of the incoming wind?" - I think that should help since I am applying for Engineering - Civil or Industrial, not sure yet. I will be doing my TOEFLs soon and im aiming for 100 plus, so that's not a problem. I have two solid essays and two letters of recommendation. So what are my chances?
